Novi Weekend Events – Michigan Winter Dog Classic 2018
Suburban Collection Showplace (46100 Grand River, Novi, MI 48374)
The Michigan Winter Dog Classic Novi 2018 will feature over 7000 dogs from more than 160 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club, the Oakland County Kennel Club and the Livonia Kennel Club. There will be plenty of interactive demonstrations and exhibitions including duck herding, police K-9 demoes, dock diving dogs, and more! Hours are Th from 9a-5p, Friday from 7:30a-5p, SA & SU from 7:30a-5p. Show ticket info can be found on the Michigan Winter Dog Classic website.

Rochester Weekend Events – Fire and Ice Fest 2018
Downtown Rochester, Michigan (Third & Water Streets)
Fire and Ice Fest provides free family fun in Downtown Rochester. Events include fireworks, TasteFest, tube sledding, snow shoeing and cross country skiing, dog sled rides, ice skating, broom ball exhibition, ice sculptures and more! Fire and Ice Festival schedule of events (coming soon). Fire and Ice Festival Hours are from 5p-9p on Friday, 10a-9p on Saturday and 9a-5p on Sunday.

Night sledding at the BEST sled hill Oakland County. The entire hill is lit up by great flood lights and they even have a warming shelter. Hosted by Southfield Youth Assistance and Southfield Parks & Recreation Dept. this Winter Wonderland event encourages reading and opportunities to create memories that will last a lifetime! Attendees will enjoy Story Time, a Free Book, Games, a Hot Chocolate Bar, and more. Admission is just $5. Parents are FREE. For more info, please call 248-746-7659. Farmington Hills Weekend Events – Farmington Hills Inside Out

Participants can experience canoeing/kayaking, archery, and fishing pole casting, plus enjoy a picnic, go on a nature hike, play in tents, check out animal furs, jump on a bouncer, and a whole lot more. The highlight of the evening is the live animal show at 7p, where families can see a variety of animals and reptiles close up. Brownstown Weekend Events – Erie Ice Daze 2018

a two-day celebration of winter fun! Enjoy a combination of traditional outdoor and indoor activities such as dog sledding, snowsnake and atlatl throwing, crafting, carving demonstrations, and live dulcimer music performed by the Silver Strings Dulcimer Society. Clarkston Weekend Events – NatureFit – Snowshoe Try It

Indoors, learn about the history of snowshoes and then head outdoors for an afternoon of winter fun including a guided snowshoe hike, a crackling campfire and snack. Snowshoes are provided. Appropriate for ages 5 and older. Participants must wear boots. A winter hike will be substituted if conditions do not permit snowshoeing. $5/person. Pre-registration with payment required.
